Ford F-150 EcoBoost® Engine Lineup and Gas Mileage

There are three possible EcoBoost® engines for the F-150. First, there’s the 2.7-liter EcoBoost® motor that’s able to produce as much as 325 horsepower, along with 400 lb-ft of torque. It features an EPA-estimated 20 city/26 highway MPG when equipped with the 4×2 drivetrain, and an EPA-estimated 19 city/24 highway MPG with the 4×4 drivetrain.

Next up is the 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine with its 400 maximum horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. When paired with the 4×2 drivetrain, it provides you with an EPA-estimated 18 city/24 highway MPG. When outfitted with the 4×4 drivetrain, you can expect an EPA-estimated 18 city/23 highway MPG.

The EcoBoost® engines give you plenty of capability with their ferocious output. When you combine that with their efficient fuel consumption, they make the F-150 a great all-around machine. You’ll be ready to get out and seize the day with minimal stops at the pump.

Key F-150 Features Worth Mentioning

One feature that particularly helps out with fuel economy is the available Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go. It makes it a lot easier for you to keep the vehicle at a consistent speed. In addition to that, this feature is able to automatically brake and accelerate in order to maintain the predetermined distance between your truck and the vehicle directly in front of you.

Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking is also a valuable tool. It monitors the area directly in front of your vehicle to be able to warn you with audible and visual alerts if a collision is likely. While that’s happening, this feature also increases the brakes’ sensitivity for maximum responsiveness if the situation calls for it. Plus, the Automatic Emergency Braking aspect of this feature can kick into action by braking for you if it determines that you haven’t acted soon enough.
